Peter L. Johnston, Esquire represented a Philadelphia tow truck driver who responded to a call to tow a vehicle which was inoperable. Unfortunately, the vehicle turned out to be stolen, unbeknownst to his client who had no criminal record and was an honest, law-abiding, hard-working individual. Mr. Johnston was able to convince a Philadelphia Municipal Court judge at his client’s preliminary hearing that there was insufficient evidence of criminal intent on his client’s part. As a result, the criminal charges against his client were dismissed.
